About Us

Croatian folkloric dancing has been an integral part of Adelaide’s cultural landscape for over 70 years, with the first recorded performance dating back to 1951. Rooted in these rich traditions, HFS Lenek remains the only Croatian Folkloric Group in South Australia dedicated to preserving and promoting Croatian music, dance, and customs across generations.

Today, HFS Lenek proudly consists of approximately 97 dancers spanning all age groups from as young as five, along with dedicated teachers, volunteers, and committee members. Our organisation thrives, fostering a strong sense of community while ensuring our vibrant cultural heritage is shared with the broader multicultural Australian society.
