Croatian Care for The Aged
Croatian Care for The Aged Association (CCAA) is a not-for-profit organisation providing services for the Croatian aged community and their carers. A South Australian support network, the CCAA offers its services in all Metropolitan areas of Adelaide, and also extends as far North as Coober Pedy.
The aim of the CCAA is to provide assistance for independent living at home, as well as facilitating participation in the community via various programs. The Commonwealth Home Support Program provides domestic assistance, transport, individual and group social support, as well as meals at the organisation’s North Adelaide base. The Home and Community Care Programme offers services including information and advocacy for the aged, health and wellbeing assessments, carer counselling and support, client care coordination, and social support services.
The CCAA values the importance of social interaction within the aged community. Activities, outings and events are organized throughout the year. These include meals served at the centre, carers group and Bingo.
